Terms of Use
Effective 12 October 2026
Accepting these terms
These terms govern your use of Umbrakhet, a puzzle game for iOS. By downloading or playing it you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the app.
Your licence
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Umbrakhet on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment.
Deben and Quarry works
The copper deben in the game are earned only by sealing courtyards and are spent only in the game's Quarry. They and everything bought with them have no real-world value, cannot be bought, and cannot be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for anything outside the game. They live in your on-device progress and are lost if that progress is cleared or the app is deleted.
Fair use
Please do not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer or tamper with the app or its files, and do not use it for any unlawful purpose.
Ownership
Umbrakhet, including its courtyards, artwork, music, sounds and code, belongs to its developer, Richard Thurnwald. This licence grants no ownership of any of it.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the same extent, the developer is not liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from its use, including lost progress.
Offline by design
The game works entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no online services, no advertising and no in-app purchases. See the Privacy Policy for how your progress is stored.
Everyone welcome
Umbrakhet is a family-friendly game suitable for general audiences.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continuing to use the game after a change means you accept the current version, shown with its effective date above.
